After delving into the elusive world of Glacier National Park’s wolverines, as chronicled in Douglas Chadwick’s ‘The Wolverine Way’ I was so excited to try my hand at painting one. These resilient creatures navigate vast, rugged terrains, and are continually tracked summiting peaks for no apparent reason other than to be rad. Their extensive range and solitary habits make them challenging to study, but ongoing research continues to shed light on their behavior and habitat needs.
This watercolor painting aims to capture their strength and the wild beauty of their mountainous home.
