The inspiration for this drawing came while enjoying the warmth of a spring sun on a back porch in Bozeman, Montana. A friend and I sat talking as the chickadees, sparrows, and finches flitted low in the bushes around us. He pointed out a raven, high in a tree, making short, repeated, shrill calls. As the Raven continued to call, all the smaller birds began to move higher into the bushes. A warning call, a potential predator was near, and a response was had by all who understood.
This print is perfect for any of you bird lovers out there or for those looking to add some detailed ink work to your space. Each feather is meticulously drawn and the glint in the raven’s eye truly brings it to life.
